What better way to celebrate the start of 18 years on the Internet than by saluting the
first lady of television in what has become an annual tradition? This year, we're not
only looking back 55 years at the start of Lucy's third series, "Here's Lucy" that will
feature some of its best moments, but we'll also be giving you the skinny as to how the
1967 sale of Desilu to Paramount had a major impact on why Lucy was treated as just another
tenant there, causing her to leave what once was her own studio for greener pastures at
Universal. We'll also talk about her infamous broken leg, which had to be written into the
series, her decision to play "Mame" on the big screen, and why she decided to quit the
weekly grind after six years. We'll also be devoting a good portion of the program to her
working relationship with her co-star Gale Gordon - why he was so important to her after her
first series went off the air and after Vivian left the second series. Lucy and Gale's work
together dates all the back to 1938, when they both appeared on Jack Haley's "Wonder Show"
on radio. We'll also read your e-mails. Lucy fans are not going to want to miss this!
