There's a new book out that focuses on JFK's "doctor" that injected him with
"happy juice", which allowed him to deal with his back pain, win the presidential
debates, and cope with increasing threats from Castro and Khrushchev. This
"happy juice" was actually methamphetamine, and not only was JFK injected
regularly, but so were many celebrities, inlcuding Bob Cummings, Marilyn
Monroe, and Mickey Mantle. The after-effects of this "miracle drug" pretty much
wrecked their lives and careers. The authors claim that Dr. Max Jacobson, known
also as "Dr. Feelgood" changed the course of history...they'll explain how as we
take a look back at what the good doctor did before he lost his license to practice
medicine. On another note, it also just so happens that co-author Bill Birnes is the
nephew of the legendary George Burns. Bill grew up on the set of his uncle's TV
series. We'll get a glimpse of what it was like to have Uncle George and "Aunt
Googie" (Gracie Allen) in his life, as well as Jack Benny, Milton Berle, George
Jessel, and other comedy greats...plus, we'll read your e-mails!
